This exceptional two-part photography experience focuses on dance and story-telling with the human body. Steve and Sasha are photographers who, though with different approaches, create beautiful and powerful fine art images of the human form and bodies in motion. During this event, these two celebrated photographers will be sharing their process and art of creating extraordinary images in a studio environment. This is a rare opportunity to hear from two exceptional artists and is a must for any photographer looking to extend their creative and technical boundaries.
This event is separated into two parts:
PART 1 - MASTERCLASS APRIL 17th 2 PM - 9 PM;
PART 2 - WORKSHOP APRIL 18th 9 AM - 6 PM, APRIL 19th 10 AM - 5:30 PM.
PART 1
On Friday, APRIL 17th from 2 PM to 9 PM there is the Master Class talk and demonstration where Sasha and Steve will discuss their unique approaches to the art of photography and both will demonstrate their approach to creating their images. Each photographer will demonstrate how they set up a shoot, their approach to working with models and dancers, and the final post-production techniques. In addition, Steve will be discussing his philosophy of studio lighting and he will demonstrate how he uses light as one of the “actors” in your story.
Please note the Friday Master Class is limited to 20 participants.
PART 2
The second part of the event is a two-day Workshop that takes place Saturday, April 18th from 9 am to 6 pm and Sunday, APRIL 19th from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. The workshop portion of the event is a hands-on experience and is limited to only 8 participants. On both days, the participants will be split into two groups of four, switching instructors for the second half of each day. This will maximize the one-on-one time with each model and setup and will allow the opportunity to work with both instructors in a hands-on shooting experience. The focus will be on the environment, the lighting, and the communication with the dancers/models. For each group of four, there will only be one person shooting at a time allowing lots of opportunity for questions and individual direction from each instructor.
